Under the new policy, citizens of all countries and territories are eligible to apply for a Vietnamese e-visa online, removing many of the restrictions that previously limited access to travelers from certain countries.
The updated e-visa allows visitors to stay in Vietnam for up to 90 days, a major increase from the previous maximum stay of 30 days. In other words, travelers can now spend three times as long in the country on a single e-visa, giving them much more flexibility to explore Vietnam without having to apply for an extension or leave and re-enter the country.
Another important change is the availability of both single-entry and multiple-entry options. A single-entry e-visa costs $25, while a multiple-entry visa costs $50. The multiple-entry option can be particularly convenient for travelers planning a longer trip through Southeast Asia who want to leave Vietnam and return during the same 90-day period.
The expanded policy could make Vietnam an even more attractive destination for international tourists, business travelers, digital nomads, and people visiting friends and family. With 90 days available, visitors have more time to experience the country’s diverse destinations—from the busy streets and food scene of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to the beaches of Da Nang and Phu Quoc, the landscapes of Ha Long Bay, and the historic towns of Hoi An and Hue.

The application process is completed online, allowing eligible visitors to apply before their trip rather than going through a more complicated visa process.
