Singer Vy Oanh not only performs but also co-wrote the lyrics for her music video “Balayah,” a Latin pop track featuring vibrant rhythms and sensual visuals.
The song was written in collaboration with musician Luu Thien Huong. Through Balayah, Vy Oanh tells the story of a woman who has overcome life’s challenges, delivering an uplifting message about embracing change and finding the courage to step outside one’s comfort zone.

For the music video, Vy Oanh teamed up with Phuong Viet Dance Crew to showcase an energetic dance performance. She spent nearly two weeks completing every stage of the project, from recording the song and rehearsing the choreography to filming the final video.

Eager to keep pace with today’s music trends, Vy Oanh assembled a creative team to help bring her new vision to life. At 41, she believes her life experience has given her the confidence to embrace a fresh direction in her career. For years, she has been known for her soft, emotional ballads, including Dong Xanh (written by Duong Khac Linh and Hoang Huy Long) and De Cho Em Khoc (written by Phuc Truong).

In addition to songwriting, Vy Oanh is also actively involved in producing her own music videos. She says her goal is to establish herself as a versatile entertainer who can excel in multiple aspects of the industry. Looking ahead, she plans to release a series of music videos featuring songs she has written herself.

Born in 1985 in Binh Thuan (now part of Lam Dong province), Vy Oanh studied at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and is known for her sweet, distinctive voice. She gained public attention for investing billions of Vietnamese dong in large-scale music video projects, including Dong Xanh, Fly, and De Cho Em Khoc.
Beyond her music career, Vy Oanh also operates a YouTube channel dedicated to children’s content and is involved in the health and beauty business. She is married to a husband who works in the maritime industry, and the couple has three children.
