Who is Phuong Phuong Thao, the voice that makes many people ‘shiver’?

Phuong Phuong Thao is known for her versatile voice and her ability to sing in different genres, such as pop, rock, ballads, and folk. On November 26, 2023, she participated in a live show at Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn, Washington, where she performed some of her hit songs along with the melodious singer Ung Hoang Phuc. According to Thao, she was born in the province of Ninh Binh into a family where everyone loves to sing but none of them is a professional performer. She went on to pursue a career in singing after earning her degree in music education from Hanoi University of Education instead of becoming a music teacher.

“The love of music is the foundation for both singing and teaching. Every job involves challenges and tribulations, but if you follow your passion, I believe you will succeed in overcoming obstacles and reaping wonderful rewards. Who knows, maybe I’ll go back to being a teacher someday,” Hanoi-based Thao said.

Phuong Phuong Thao, who achieved success in covering multiple songs by Jimmii Nguyen, stated that she had met the male singer on several occasions and always sought his permission prior to performing his songs. She further mentioned that both Mr. Jimmii Nguyen and the lyricist, Ms. Lanh Ngoc Tam, showed appreciation for her work and offered valuable advice and encouragement.

During her artistic journey, Phuong Phuong Thao emphasized that she opted not to pursue fame through sensational news or scandals.
