Captain’s Log, Headdate 11.24.22.1. In the distant reaches of our destination, we have traveled an absolutely astonishing 168 miles in four hours – Concert-type music signals coming from a planet that apparently is an exact duplicate of the Earth. It seems impossible, but there it is.

Introduction

A Duyen Minh Lo concert featuring Huong Tram, Quang Dung, Quang Le, Mai Thien Van, Ky Phuong Uyen, Tommy Ngo, Trissie Phuong Trinh, Lynda Trang Dai, Thai Tai, Henry Chuc, DJ Dacey Nhu, MC/singer The Thuy, and Monarch Dancers was held at the Cowlitz Ballroom in Ridgefield, Washington, on the eve of Thanksgiving. Although the concert is located in Washington State, and yet Portland, Oregon residents are attending it in greater numbers.

Huong Tram and the Monarch dancers were called to the stage by MC The Thuy. He announced that Huong Tram will perform the song “Rain Girl”. Today, though, there is no rain. LOL! She sang “Rain Girl” after that. Duyen Minh Lo is her second single, followed by “I Will Always Love You”, “Ngốc”, and “Đi Để Trở Về”.

Description

Huong Tram’s album Duyen Minh Lo, which won Song of the Year from Green Wave in 2019, the album was published in 2018.

On June 29th, 2018, the song “Duyen Minh Lo” made its official debut. After a year following the release of the “Em Gai Mua” MV, Huong Tram made her comeback in V-pop with this ballad song, which was written by composer Tu Dua.

“Duyen Minh Lo” is the largest music endeavor ever invested in the Vietnamese music industry. It was the way she told her tale in the video with insightful lyrics. This song has a tremendous appeal to the audience, and it swiftly gained high views and nearly 3 million viewers after only one day of release. Huong Tram hopes that her audience would support her story through “Duyen Minh Lo”.

My Observation

I’ve been photographing concerts for the past 25 years, and I know that Seattle/Portland concertgoers enjoy dancing. I like Ilani Casino’s decision to offer two dancing floors, one for VIPs and one for non-VIPs.

I don’t dance; instead, I shoot photos and listen to people talk (I am not a talker but a listener). I’ve heard that individuals enjoy dancing with a small kicker of alcohol to help them dance better. So that’s what I heard!

There are usually a lot of concerts during the holiday week, especially up north around Seattle. They don’t do as many shows in Oregon as they do in Washington state, thus ilani is in a perfect location for concert-goers from Portland, Oregon.

As always, have a wonderful Thanksgiving, stay safe, and enjoy the photos. Best wishes! -Ricky
