During a journey from Hawaii to Washington state, a federal grand jury in Seattle indicted a 21-year-old man for hitting a flight attendant twice in the face and attempting to unlock the cockpit door.

Ryan Cajimat, of Kapolei, Hawaii, was on a Delta Airlines flight from Honolulu to Seattle on Christmas Eve 2020 when he became disruptive and began arguing with flight attendants, according to the Department of Justice. He was restrained for the remainder of the flight and was deplaned in Seattle.

The Federal Aviation Administration fined Cajimat more than $52,000, but he could not be found for comment.
