Toc Tien plays a shop dummy that comes to life in the MV for her new track ‘Today, I’m so lonely’. It’s a flashback to the magical 1987 romantic comedy ‘Mannequin’ in which Andrew McCarthy falls in love with a shop mannequin. Here, the McCarthy role is taken over by trill-voiced MC Rhymastic, who drives away with the diminutive pop princess in a classic BMW.
Shot in Lam’s Boutique store window on Mac Thi Buoi, Toc Tien comes to life once the closed sign’s turned. Every night, in a series of costumes styled by Kelbin Lei, she does the same, until she finally breaks free of the confines of the restrictive shop front.
Watch Rhymastic drive off with his mannequin below.
