The Influence Asia Awards were held in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend, and for the first time ever, Vietnam has taken part. Meant to honor individual and group achievements in the social media industry across Asia, nominees from Singapore, Malaysia, the Phillipines, Thailand, Indonesia and Korea were on hand to celebrate the occasion. Competing in categories including Fashion, Food, Beauty, You Tube and Health & Fitness, the top four nominees from each country were invited to the gala event.
From Vietnam, JVevermind took out the YouTube personality award, Chau Bui was deemed most influential fashion figure, and Asia’s Next Top Model Mai Ngo took out the breakthrough influencer award. Noo Phuoc Thinh took to the stage to perform with his The Voice team and Vietnam’s biggest winner was Gao, who won in both the Lifestyle and Parenting categories against some stiff opposition.
