Miss Tourism Vietnam 2017 First Runner-up, Nguyen Thi Thanh has resigned from her title following accusation that she has undergone cosmetic surgery.
The decision was issued in a working session between the Department of Arts and Performance under the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism; inspectors from the ministry and the beauty contest’s organization board, said head of the department on March 13, Nguyen Dang Chuong.
The grand finale of Miss Tourism Vietnam 2017 took place in Ho Chi Minh City on March 10. A model from Dong Nai province, Do Tran Khanh Ngan, was crowned at the pageant.
Nguyen Thi Thanh of Bac Ninh province was named the first runner-up and Nguyen Thi Lien Phuong of Long An province became the second runner-up.
