Tien Tien has soul, and this track proves it. A week after releasing the audio to her first single in a year, she’s followed through with this MV for ‘Where to Go’, a soulful pop performance by the young singer-songwriter – a graduate of Saigon’s Soul Academy run by Thanh Bui. Featuring the urban landscape of Saigon as she busks and skates her way around, throughout the video Tien Tien finds herself in multiple mind-bending, shape-shifting rooms which she can escape to (or is it from?) culminating in an impromptu dip in the Saigon river.
Commenting on the concept behind the music video filmed in and around Saigon, Tien Tien said: “The audience won’t necessarily see a story. Everyone can interpret it the way they want. To me it’s simply a woman lost in her inner world, not really knowing where to go or what to do. Feeling lost in the mind is probably the worst thing that anyone can experience in life. I think that’s what the audience will understand while watching this video; it’s a feeling, not a specific story.”
